i read this books a really long time ago， at that time i couldn't get them down， i was too much into the story and the whole Mara and Noah mystery thing， but i would recommend it to younger readers because it is not as good when you read it at nineteen than when you read it at thirteen。 however， this is one of my favorite trilogy and Noah Shaw has still a special place in my heart <3 i read this books a really long time ago， at that time i couldn't get them down， i was too much into the story and the whole Mara and Noah mystery thing， but i would recommend it to younger readers because it is not as good when you read it at nineteen than when you read it at thirteen。 however， this is one of my favorite trilogy and Noah Shaw has still a special place in my heart <3 。。。more

I read the Mara Dyer Trilogy a good 5/6 years ago but it is always THE one series that has stayed with me as the years pass & I constantly recommend them to everyone I possibly can！ I am not one for series books at all， I do prefer stand alone books but this one was just utterly incredible & as I’ve said， it stayed with me for many years & without a doubt， my favourite series。

Okay everybody， take a seat。 This is another case of “Why didn’t anyone force me to read these before？！” So here I am to shove these books in your face and make you read them。The Unbecoming of Mara Dyer starts off with Mara starting a new school in Florida after surviving a building collapse that kills her three best friends。 Mara is understandably distraught and is diagnosed with PTSD that leaves her hallucinating at random。 At her new school， Mara meets Noah Shaw， a supposedly notorious ladies Okay everybody， take a seat。 This is another case of “Why didn’t anyone force me to read these before？！” So here I am to shove these books in your face and make you read them。The Unbecoming of Mara Dyer starts off with Mara starting a new school in Florida after surviving a building collapse that kills her three best friends。 Mara is understandably distraught and is diagnosed with PTSD that leaves her hallucinating at random。 At her new school， Mara meets Noah Shaw， a supposedly notorious ladies’ man。 There’s something about him that she can’t put her finger on， but he eventually convinces her to go on a date with him。But Mara isn’t sure all of her hallucinations are actually figments of her imagination。 Some of them are too real。 She starts receiving creepy messages and photographs， and she suspects they’re coming from her deceased ex-boyfriend， Jude。I can’t really get into any more details because it’ll be too spoiler-y。This series is awesome because it combines so many genres flawlessly。 It has YA contemporary， paranormal， fantasy， historical fiction， and more。 It’s amazing， really。 The audiobooks are narrated by Christy Romano… yes， that one — Christy Carlson Romano， known best for her role in Even Stevens and the voice of Kim Possible。My review of the first book was few words — I couldn’t process it。 “Wowwwww。 Yes。 Amazing。”The same happened with the second book。 ” Wow wow wow。 Normally a second book falls flat。 But that ending……。。On to the next oneeeee！！！”And the last book prompted this， “Well that ending had me SHOOK。 But it definitely felt like it was dragging in the middle there。 I can’t wait to read The Shaw Confessions series。 NOVEMBER GET HERE NOOOOOW。”Because *excited face* there’s a new spinoff series coming out that focuses on Noah！ The first one is called The Becoming of Noah Shaw and it comes out November 7th， 2017。So get caught up now， because there’s about to be another installment in the series！ Overall， I give this series 4。5 stars。 。。。more

I read this trilogy not knowing exactly what was going on。 All I knew was it was one of those books introduced to me in the beginning。 You know， the one that everyone is raving about and you see a poster of it in everyone's room。 So， I saw that book everywhere and I decided to give it a go。 I had the first two books already， flew through those， and then immediately bought the third book。 Here's the funny thing though， I didn't actually plan to pick up the third book because the people I trusted I read this trilogy not knowing exactly what was going on。 All I knew was it was one of those books introduced to me in the beginning。 You know， the one that everyone is raving about and you see a poster of it in everyone's room。 So， I saw that book everywhere and I decided to give it a go。 I had the first two books already， flew through those， and then immediately bought the third book。 Here's the funny thing though， I didn't actually plan to pick up the third book because the people I trusted and valued their opinions with well。。。 while half of them didn't like it， the other half didn't even read it for the sake of other's opinion influencing their own。 After all， a book with so many mixed reviews had to have a reason for it， right？ And that's correct。 I read the first two books because I had nothing better to do but I read the third out of my own volition。 I was honestly curious about how such an amazing series could go downhill and have so many mixed reviews。 Though， I think I know why。 First I'll say I think the last book was my favorite。 It managed to explore such a depth of darkness that was only hinted in the previous books and I think that's why people didn't like it。 Not because it was bad， but because it wasn't what they signed up for or expected。 The third book dealt with a type of setting and even genre that the first two books couldn't even compare to。 But I personally loved that about it。 I loved how Mara became so unraveled it changed her in a way I actually rooted for。 But that's just me。 Final opinion: READ IT and expect the unexpected （I don't care how cliché that saying is， you better prepare to get more than you bargained for）。 。。。more
